The climax of the most thrilling championship in years was even more dramatic than anyone could have predicted. Christian Horner, Red Bull's Team Principal suggested his team needed a miracle as Lewis Hamilton seemed to be cruising to victory with a handful of laps remaining - suddenly Nicholas Latifi crashed bringing on the safety car - controversial rules around overtaking were applied leaving Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in a final lap race that will be talked about for years. Max Verstappen with fresher tyres passed Lewis Hamilton early in the lap and raced away to victory roared on by the thousands of jubilant Dutch fans in the huge grandstand at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
