Chris Froome Tour de France 2015 Special, celebrating his remarkable 2nd Tour de France win. This momentous win will be remembered for the intensity of competition within the race from his rivals – most notably Nairo Quintana, who pushed Froome to the limits on the final Alpine climbs and the intense scrutiny from sections of the French media convinced that Chris Froome was doping to achieve his phenomenal performances.
Chris Froome also claimed the King of the Mountains jersey – a points based competition rewarding the best climbers in the peloton. By winning the iconic polka dot jersey, Chris Froome became the first man to win both the General Classification/Tour de France Title and the King of the Mountains title since the legendary Eddie Merckx in 1970.
From a Great Britain point of view, this 2015 victory means that British cyclists have now won 3 of the last 4 Tour de France Titles – Sir Bradley Wiggins (2012) and Chris Froome (2013 & 2015).
