The Fight of the Century.
Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko, Wembley Stadium, 29.04.2017
A stunning photographic collage to celebrate one of the great fights in boxing history and without doubt the best fight of the new millennium.
With expectation at fever pitch, the two giants of modern boxing produced an epic battle that will live forever in the memory of the record 90,000 fans in attendance and the millions watching around the world.

The fight exploded into life in the 5th round when Anthony Joshua, frustrated by Wladimir Klitschko’s experience and ringcraft in the early rounds, attacked and knocked down Klitschko. Joshua celebrated thinking that he had done enough to grab the victory, however Klitschko got to his feet and then went on the attack and it was an exhausted Joshua who had to hang on for the bell to save him – an epic round in an epic fight!

Anthony Joshua hadn’t recovered his energy and composure as the 6th round began and a rejuvenated Klitschko went for the stoppage and landed a huge punch to send Anthony Joshua crashing to the canvas for the first time in his career. All looked lost for Joshua – his big night and an unbeaten record in tatters as the great champion Klitschko stood tall. Joshua managed to survive the remaining 2 minutes of the round and return to his corner – was there still hope …
Over the next few rounds Anthony Joshua, learning under the lights as he later called it, cleverly managed to keep his opponent at bay and restore his equilibrium and energy – however to all experts watching as the fight approached the 11th round – Joshua was behind on points and only a knockout would secure victory.

Sensing this, Anthony Joshua produced a shuddering upper cut early in the 11th round to shake Wladimir Klitschko to the core. With his opponent in trouble Joshua attacked and with a superb combination of punches sent Klitschko to the canvas again. With huge will and determination to survive and perhaps produce yet another twist Klitschko dragged his huge frame off the canvas and was allowed to continue. Seizing the moment, Anthony Joshua trapped Klitschko in the corner and another barrage of punches was enough for the referee to stop the fight.
